Nassau County sits directly on the Queens border, which makes it the most naturally reachable part of Long Island for licensed delivery — where local rules allow it.
Nassau is western Long Island: roughly 1.4 million residents in a band of villages, hamlets, and small cities immediately east of Queens. Its proximity to the borough matters, because a licensed retailer operating near the county line can plausibly reach addresses on both sides of it.
Local opt-outs shape the picture. New York's Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act let towns and villages decline to host adult-use retail dispensaries, and a number of Nassau municipalities exercised that option. Where there are fewer licensed storefronts, there are fewer retailers whose delivery range covers a nearby address.
DeliverBud works only with dispensaries licensed by the New York Office of Cannabis Management (OCM). We provide the menu, ordering, compliance, and delivery technology; the licensed retailer makes the sale.
Being this close to Queens changes what dispensaries near me can turn up. DeliverBud wants weed near me, cannabis near me, and marijuana near me to work just as well here: a cannabis marketplace to browse dispensaries, compare licensed dispensaries and recreational dispensaries, and shop cannabis from Nassau's own cannabis shops and weed shops.
We are pre-launch and make no claim of current Nassau coverage. Sign up and we will notify you if and when a licensed partner delivers to your address.
A licensed retailer’s DeliverBud page is its own cannabis menu — or weed menu, if that’s the term you use — covering the categories a dispensary normally carries:
Not yet. DeliverBud is pre-launch, and Nassau coverage will depend on which OCM-licensed retailers join the platform and whether their delivery range reaches your address.
No. Under New York's Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act, towns and villages could opt out of hosting adult-use retail dispensaries, and a number of Nassau municipalities did. This affects where licensed storefronts exist and which addresses they can practically deliver to.
Nassau borders Queens and is comparatively dense, so a licensed retailer's delivery radius covers far more addresses per mile than it would in eastern Suffolk. Nothing is guaranteed, but the geography is more favourable.
21 or older. A valid government-issued photo ID is verified at the door on every delivery, as required by New York State law.
Flower and pre-rolls for smoking, edibles and gummies, vapes, and concentrates — standard recreational cannabis and adult-use cannabis categories. On DeliverBud, that menu is the licensed retailer's own cannabis products and weed products, listed on their own weed menu exactly as they sell them.
It will once a licensed Nassau partner is live and delivering to your address — order cannabis online or buy weed online straight from their menu. Weed delivery, marijuana delivery, dispensary delivery, and cannabis delivery all mean the same thing here.
For adults 21 and older. DeliverBud is a technology platform and marketplace, not a dispensary. All cannabis sales are made by retailers licensed by the New York Office of Cannabis Management.
